ON-LINE REGISTRATION OPEN
We have again been able to put together an exciting programme for the 4th BISMiS meeting. There will be speakers from around the world representing at least 13 countries. Opportunities to discuss the future of bacterial systematics will be provided during sessions such as “Where to with species descriptions?” and “Bacterial Systematics”: What lies ahead?”.
With only a few weeks left before the conference, we would like to encourage all delegates to register to ensure that they do not miss this wonderful opportunity to exchange scientific ideas and build new friendships.Register Now
Extended Abstract Submission Deadline
After several requests for an extension to submit abstracts it was decided that the submissions will be open a little longer but with the request that you do so as soon as possible.
The organizers have to start drafting a programme to make this available to delegates who need to apply for funding and visa’s. It is thus important that they are aware of your intention to present at the conference.
They kindly request that you register your details on the abstract database (both oral and poster presentations) and upload your abstract as soon as possible.
BISMiS 2018 Travel Awards
Bergey’s Manual Trust will sponsor five travel awards for postgraduate students or other young investigators to attend BISMiS 2018 in South Africa. Three of these awards will be for any of the young participants with the other two targeting participants from Africa specifically.
These awards will cover the conference registration and 3 nights of accommodation but will not cover any traveling costs to and from the meeting. An ad-hoc selection committee will evaluate the applications.Read More
